All meetings are held on the second Wednesday of every month at the Nuin Center near the Pittsburgh Zoo. The meetings are absolutely free to the public and include open discussion, animals on display, possibly a member selling an animal, refreshments, and an educational program presented by a guest speaker or one of our members. There is much diversity in the group, we have arachnid specialists, venomous keepers, rearfanged enthusiasts, garter snake lovers, amhpibian keepers, and the whole lot. If you don't find someobody to talk to that shares your interests I'd be very surprised.
Membership entitles you to special field trips, the satisfaction of working on a successful reptile event (the Western PA Reptile Show and Sale) and a subscription to the Herpetological Herald, our excellent monthly newsletter. Not to mention, the opportunity to meet people just like you that will share your experiences and interests.
