Sure, nonmembers are welcome - that is what showcases are for! :) Showcases are our large public outreach/educational events, most often hosted by a local park: this Saturday's Showcase takes place at North Park's Latodami Nature Center from 12-4. The resident naturalist, Meg, will lead nature walks down to the pond, where kids can try their luck at catching herps and invertebrates.
Society members bring their herps in display cages, and stay at their tables to answer questions, and to let people handle some of the animals. Children love showcases, and parents enjoy them too. Come out and meet us, it's a lot of fun!
