I've had luck offering preserved crickets (Fluker's or others)pinched at the end of a wooden teriyaki skewer (split skewer end to create tweezer). Jiggle the cricket a few inches from frog. Trust me, they'll snap at it in time. I'm kinda bummed I have to provide live crix now; if only to let them hunt.
:My Grey Tree Frog came out of hybernation a week ago and he is having a hard time catching his crickets. Its like he is moving slow. Is this normal at first, if so how long does it take him to get back his full strength? Also I can not tell if he is eating, the crickets may be lodging themselves under the rocks. I tried to hand feed him but he got mad at me. How deep of a dish do I need for the crickets so they can't climb out so I can monitor his eating? Any info would help.
