When you do, it is best to have freshly washed, rinsed, and wet hands. If you hands are not clean enough to put in your mouth, then is not clean enough for the frog. Don't forget to eliminate any smell of the frog before handling your snakes, especially if you have any Thamnophis or Heterodon.
: Most of us disagree with mixing species, period. There has been enough evidence just from this forum that shows that there is usually some form of detriment associated it with it. Most of us have only the best interests of the frog in mind and prefer to reduce or eliminate the (strong) possibilities of problems. It is true you could keep these frogs together for the next five years, but most people have problems well before that. Ideally, you would house them separately. Also, in the future make sure you do research on the species you are going to keep. Most care is species specific and finding out the necessary care after the fact is not acceptable, although you get credit for posting here! Also do more research on the captive care of amphibians, I would like to emphasize the need to use dechlorinated water for amphibians. Plan on keeping an even higher level of cleanliness for amphibs, one slip up and you have a dead frog whereas your snakes wouldn't even flinch.
