:yes, esp. during breeding season. they 'fight' for the best places to meet girls. the loudest call gets the girls.
My whites calls in the very early morning when the sun is just peeking in through the tiny gap in my shades. Even at 4am I think it's sweet. I suppose it's a plus that he only does it for 15-20 seconds or so.
