Congrats! I just got mine last week too. My guys love to eat day or night. Actually, I take that back, there have been a couple times where I skipped a day of feeding. If I do that, even if drop in the cricketts during the day... they will munch down. If I feed everyday though, they won't come out during the day.
I hear you on the tank setup. The only thing I knew about these frogs was what I read from froggie.info and some caresheets on the web other people made on them. There was a reptile store closing in my area, so 50-70% off everything. So I bought everything they needed for the enclosure. I had originally planned on getting a setup in a month or so... but $60 for $300 worth of stuff was too good to pass up. Then I got the frogs on the way home from Petco.
Unfortunately my guys had to sit in their little Creamcheese with holes containers for a few hours until I cleaned the tank and started putting it all together. But they are totally diggin' it now.
:Last night I picked up my two whites tree frogs. They are so cool! Their names are Bubba and Kermit. I'm working on a natural viv for them, and it might be done by tonight. I love these guys! They're so much more exciting than my corns, lol. I have a lamp for night that allows me to watch them without them getting freaked. I'm going to try feeding them today, and I was wondering, do you guys actually see your frogs eat? My friend who had white's barely ever got to see his eat. I want to see these fatties take a cricket, it would be awesome. I'm also wondering, does anyone here ever handle their frogs? I don't think I'd ever hold mine, but I'm just curious. Thanks!

:By the way, I took a bunch of pics yesterday, so I'll post them tonight!
