It was most likely the last time that will happen this year for most of the species we found. It is getting late in th breeding season. It had rained all day for the first time in about a month. the temperature was about 50 degrees, 45 being ideal. The location was a road between a wetland and a large hardwood forest. All of the amphibians in the forest had to cross that small patch of road to get to the wetland. I had never seen anything like it. Normally when I look for amphibians I spend hours inthe woods and in ponds fnding at the most 20 frogs and 20 salamanders, and hardly ever see a treefrog. I never expected such awsome results.
