I'd have to advocate green tree frogs (hyla cinerea) as well. I've been keeping two females for four years now and I plan on getting a male and attempt breeding them. They have been VERY tolerant of my sometimes lazy behaviour. All in all they're hardy captives that don't require a lot of your time.
