One of my female mandarins is easily 8 feet long and get's to about 15 lbs.
I'm surprised with all the controversy about Sanzinia madagascariensis being reclassified as Boa manditra that there were no subspecies classified.
We know that Gray phase is the smallest, Greens get bigger and Mandarins get pretty much enormous in comparison. Different colors and ranges too. Still there's no subspecies?
I'm just a hobbiest, but I think there's some work to be done for some post-grad out there.

:They are grey phase, much smaller than mandarin and brown morphs, these max out at about five feet, and the babies are born grey as well not red as in other morphs. Thanks.

::Mine occasionally think they're Anacondas. One of my females is soaking right now and has been for days. I still haven't figured out why females soak for so long. I've even fed one of my females while she was in the water and she consumed the rat while semi-submerged.
::Anyway, your snake is beautiful and looks to me to be a grey phase. Tell me about your snake.
