As long as you can provide the required humidity, temperatures, air flow, ect. I don't see why you arent. I thought I was in for a really mean snake when I got my ATB but actually he is quite tame. Im sure this is not always the case but I guess there is always that chance :) there is lots of information at www.corallus.com
