I take my pinky and kill it first. I run it under some scalding water...seems cruel but they seem to die instantly. Then I put it in the microwave for 5-7 seconds. Doesn't take long at all to heat them up. I immediately take it to my ATB and put it in his face. Tease him with it. Even bump him in the face with it. Mine jumps all over it. If I don't heat mine up first though, he just seems to nose it and play with it. The heat really sets him off. Good luck.
