Amazons have a natural biting instinct that is like a "knee jerk" reaction. In other words--They can't help it!! They bite what moves or what is warm. I would say an amazon could never be tamed to where a child could handle it either supervised or unsupervised. Amazons are not for people who don't like getting bit. But they are still very cool snakes to keep however!
