BTW, First off, sorry if I came off as sounding harsh. That's just me. I forgot that not everyone here knows me like they do on the Python and Carpet Python forums. =)

I just hate to see someone buying fish tanks specifically for their snakes. I made that mistake years ago, and now have a nice collection of empty fish tanks. They're hard to keep clean, especially with high humidity species, because every time you mist the cage, you get water spots on the glass...plus, they're a pain to clean because they're so heavy compared to plastic cages.

Anyway, you have to remember, a 55 gallon tank is 48 x 13 x 20 tall, so there's not a lot of depth to them. That's 4.33 square feet of floor space.

On the other hand, you can get a Vision model 222 (28x24x24 tall) for $175 from LLL Reptile. That's slightly more (4.66 square feet) floor space, and 4" taller too.
