I wouldn't think the saliva problem would have anything to do with the bite you recieved, nor would losing teeth. I would suspect a respiratory problem and/or possibly mouth rot if he is losing alot of teeth. Do you see any cheesy material around the gum line? Also, keep in mind that losing a tooth here and there is normal for adult emeralds.
No one online here can really diagnose your problem accurately. My best recommendation would be to see a Vet of your choice and proceed from there.
