I don't think anyone really knows what makes emeralds regurgitate, but in 20 years I have had only one case of throwing up that was a treatable protazoan problem (giardia). Many keepers have come to the conclusion that once an emerald pukes, it's done and going to eventually die. Plus you will jeopardize the health of any other emeralds in your collection. The chondros will probably not be at much risk. I would contact your dealer immediately! If he offers for you to send it back, do it!! Otherwise he may offer for you to treat the emerald for a period with flagyl, etc. and if it continues to puke, he'll still give you a refund. but if you don't communicate this problem immediately to the dealer, he won't feel responsible.
