I have four ATB's and it seems that each one has about one bad shed a year, no matter how humid I keep their cages. What I've found most effective for removing the stuck shed is to soak a cotton snake bag or pillow case (for larger snakes) in lukewarm water, stuff the snake inside and leave the bag with the snake in a Rubbermade container for a couple of hours. For a really mean snake a good pair of gloves are nice too... Hope this helps.
