Also, the heat pits are different. In the python, there are pits on the front of it's snout, and on the lower lip. In the boa, the pits are on the upper and lower lips. The green tree python also has raised bumps on it's nose, where the nostrils are. Another thing: the face scalation is different. While the tree python has pretty much uniformly small scales, the scales on the emerald tree boa are larger from the tip of the nose to about just below the eyes.
