The one thing that comes to peoples minds when someone does this is, Did the mouse eat the snake(it has happens)!

No matter how many hides are givin it still could happen. Feeding live can help get a snake to feed. Leaving a live mouse, Rat, or any prey(except pinkies) is just asking for trouble!

Also this causes more stress to the animal you are trying to calm down. It my work here and there but I do not think it would work all the time. ATBs get stressed so easy doing this may just add to it!
