I've been keeping reptiles off and on for the past 11 years, and in that time, I've read several books where the term "molting" is used to describe the shedding process. I've also talked to several herpers who continue to use the term.

:Well, its kinda hard to tell what you're asking when it does'nt even pertain to reptiles. BIRDS molt, reptiles SHED. I'm not being mean, just stating FACT. If that is too harsh for you, then too bad.
