My ATB is aprox 1.5-2 years old and some where around 3ft(cant really specify since I dont really fancy taking him out and measuring him). He is absolutly fearless. Not what I call agressive; more like curious with attitude(plenty of animals alot nastier). When I open the cage he will come right out of the cage towards me, stare for a seceond, then bite. Possibly looking for food. For simple water-changing I made a snake hook out of a wire coat hanger to move him aside. For cleaning I simply slap on some gloves. One trick I learned to distract him to do some thing simple like water changing is to put a flashlight on the far corner. He is drawn to the heat. I use heat pads for warmth so lights make great diversions. Hope this helps.
