foot sores

George has small sores on the bottom of his back feet. They look like small raw patches. He's housed in a very large plastic bin, with hay in the bottom. I think he's just getting burned from the plastic on his little feets. This didn't happen when we first set him up, just within the past month or so. Any suggestions on how to treat them, or how to prevent them from getting worse? Thanks.
