:Torts have feelings. They can be happy. They can be sad. They can feel pain. They can get scared. And they get lonely.

:Every living creature has feelings. And most of them are smarter than what most humans think. That is my opionion so I will be quiet now. :-)


What you are doing is called anthropomorphism, it's a common malady of pet owners. There have been many studies on the brain function of lower animal such as reptiles. Although tortoises may feel pain there brains are not capable of the higher functions that would cause them to need companionship. You have a computer you can research it yourself.
