That is the most deformed galop I have seen. From my own observations it seems that deformities are more prevalent than in other species. A gentleman has 4 galops in my area and 1 of them is blind in one eye, one has a deformed shell, and another has what looks like the start of a deformity. Two of the tortoises started out as healthy hatchlings with no apparent deformity and then the deformity became visible as the tortoise grew.

Anyone have any thoughts as to why this seemingly occurs more often with galops?

Thanks
Tortuga
