Sulcata story and a question

This past weekend I bought a 10 1/2" sulcata. Feeds great and everything. I put him/her in there new cage when I got home. Then I went outside to pick so weeds and few other things for it to eat. I put it on a paper plate for since I wasn't sure what I was going to use to feed it on. Well today I got up and it had eaten about 1/4 of the paper plate. Do you think it will be ok?
