I have roughly 8 years of reptile keeping experience and have bred some lizards and amphibians. I kept box turtles and western painted turtles when I was younger, but mostly outside. I'd really like to get a tortoise, but wouldn't be able to get him outside too often. I have the resourses to build pretty large caging and the necessary husbandry equipment, it's just deciding what to go with. Mainly I'd like to just get a personable, attractive species. I'm thinking about either Herman's Tortoises or Leopard Tortoises. How much floor space would I need for and individual or pair of either species?
