Both will do well outside in San Diego. One place you may want to go while doing your research is the zoo. I haven't been in a couple of years but they did have both leopard and sulcata, don't know if they still do. I used a large rubbermaid bin for my sulcata the first couple of years, but also put her outside almost every day. The weather here is great for either species to be outside most days.

:Can some one describe the differences in owning each of these species. Can someone give me cage req sized for each as well. I live in San Diego, CA. Which would do better in my climate. Do they both hibernate the same amount of time. I am not getting one anytime soon, just starting research to make sure I would want one (long commitment). Thank YOu
