In Reply to: Housing Different Tegu Species Together? posted by smaug on May 09, 2003 at 14:41:16:
Hi there! Currently I have 2 arg. reds in with 2 B&W paraguayans. They ahve been together now for approx a month and all are doing well. The paraguayans are puppies and were orginally used for education shows with children. The reds are tame, yet a bit more eratic at times. LOL All 4 are within 3 months of one another, so this is a huge advisement!
This is a very subjective question, though others have had success in housing different species. I'll keep everyone up to date of their progress together. The advice below this post is terrific in asking the pros........Ron and Bert
Good luck!
Greg
:Has anyone had experience housing different species of Tegus together? I am thinking of getting a red or black and white tegu to go with my blue in his 6'x3' cage. I've seen some red x blue crosses so someone has done it anyway....
