Hi Jack,

I can't speak to the differences in keeping blues vs B&W's as I have never owned a B&W. However, I was told that the blues were easier to keep which helped guide me towards my blue "Tegan". They require smaller cages (6X2X2) as opposed to the B&W's 8X4X4 requirement. I was told by Stella StPierre that I could house two blues in my 8X2X2 but chose to go with a single as I felt the more room the better. The B&W's are more common than the blues and I believe that is why you hear less about them. As far as I know, bluetegu.com (StPierres) are the only one producing them on a regular basis. I could be wrong? I do highly suggest the StPierres though. I have recieved top notch support whenever I needed it, and quick! Blues have a different look to them too, which I find more interesting. I figured I would start with a blue and get a B&W if I found that I really like Tegu's. I do, now I want a B&W too! I have the cage for him, but now I just need to find the time. I have about 20 other lizards to take care of so I am afraid until I have thinned the zoo a bit I will stick with my blue. I think whatever you choose, you will find them to be a very fascinating animal. I think the blue is a great choise because of their size and due to the fact their diet is less demanding. Best of luck, if ever I can assist....

K
