My Red sometimes has shedding issues, too. I keep the humidity up and give frequent baths, she's just not partial to fruit. I can mask it with egg or turkey, but she often eats around it. (I like the "skewer technique" posted by Russ, and Blakes_girl's "tegu smoothie" post below. I'll have to give those a try!)
So, when she doesn't shed properly, I put her in a warm, shallow bath and drape strips of wet paper towels over her, from neck to tail. I don't cover her head, nose, eyes, ears, etc.
It's lightweight and clings to her topside while her bottomside is under water. (It looks like she's either at a tegu spa or getting ready for mummification.) It doesn't appear to bother her, and she'll stretch out and snooze in the tub for 20+ minutes that way. Within 1-2 days she sheds completely.
