You might want to try getting a true UVB bulb. The ones from Home Depot don't put out UVB rays. Or if they do, it's so negligable or doesn't penetrate very far that they are of no use to the reptile.
I know that many people will argue that they know of reptiles that have been kept without any UVB and seem to be fine, but there is no way that I would chance it with any of my guys. I highly suggest getting a fluorescent that is taylor made for reptilian needs. Try www.aaareptilesupply.com. They sell Reptisuns for $15.99. That's where I get mine.

:the bulbs are from home depot. but i have them on all of m y other reptiles with no problem.
