One thing that could possibly help is emu oil. I know it sounds really weird but it does work. I've used it on my dward tegu before and it definitely helped the condition of the skin on her tail. Plus you can use it on your own skin to help with dry skin. That's what it was originally marketed for.

:For the first time my Red Tegu is having a problem shedding i believe...but it looks bad...it looks as if he's skin is cracking and he's getting gashes from it...i tried bathing him and getting more moisture in the enclosure...im stuck on what else to do. It doesn't look as if it's hindering his health in any way..but I need some advice on how to get rid of that.
