:This seems to work well and they dont seem to injest it. I think its also better that the wood chips or mulch in that its not in big chunks of pieces. The mulch does look better in the cage though if thats what your going for. So good luck with your tegus. -nick-

I just signed on and your advise is right on on the temp. I also use a temp gun. you can find one for about $50.00. My red/blue cross does not like to be awakened when burrowing...puts on quiet a show. Once in my hand it settles right down. Any suggestions on the right way to get them used to being handled? Mike
