He's still quite curious about myself and his new digs. But even in unfamilliar surroundings is very placid. Doesn't seek out attention, but will pause for a couple seconds if you give him a rub or scratch as he passes by. Picking him up is no problem as long as you're not intercepting him while he's on a mission cruising about investigating or hedded for a pile of news papers. Then he kicks and slaps a little, but as long as you support his chest and hind feet he doesn't seem to mind at all for the most part. He'll even hang our for a while over your shoulder like a beardie. An absolute delight, even if he hasn't figured out where the bathroom is.

:Nice looking tegu! He's pretty big. Is he as tame as he looks? Looks like you could pick him up without a fuss. I don't think even little kids would be afraid of that big ol teddy bear.
