I purchased three B&W (colombian) tegus about three weeks ago. I was told they would remain "calm" if I continued handling them. I have had no luck. I use large leather gloves and try and try to hold them, but they $hit and bite fiercely. I do this several times a day. Same reactions. They will also RUN OVER to my hand (gloved or not) and try to bite when I am giving them fresh water. I really wanted to keep these guys and try to "tame" them. Has anyone had success with Colombians, or does anyone have any suggestions? If not, I will be posting them again in the classifieds. Thanks.
