My roomates and I had debate over lunch concerning the Python genus. We made the assumption that Python Reticulatus is closer related to the Liasis genus. Being with the aquatic nature and physical similarities both in size (the dwarf retics), eye shape and appearance, and scalation, as well as the geographic ranges, and of course temperment.
We understand that we are opening a whole new can of worms, but if you could provide some insight as to the diferentiation between the Python genus and the Liasis genus, it might help the debate a little.
Once again, thank you for all of your help
