Another study with a single gene.

In abstract: "Examination of...confirms the existence of three geographic lineages." "Results suggest the three geographic lineages partially conform to the ranges of previously defined subspecies..." ...there is no support for the monophyly of the subspecies of E. guttata."

Okay, 1) If his lineages overlap with recognized subspecies then why not state that and use them? 2) Assuming he means statistical support, obviously one would not expect reciprocal monophyly in a subspecies, there is gene flow with surrounding populations! 3) How can a new name be applied to something that already has a name?

If someone wants the PDF let me know.
