There's the LA Zoo in Griffith Park in the City of Los Angeles, The Long Beach Aquarium in Long Beach,
a shop called "Prehistoric Pets" somewhere in the Long Beach area, "Exclusively Reptiles" near LAX.
I am not really savvy on information regarding herp-oriented shops in the Orange County area (where you'll be staying). You may want to contact someone from the Southern California Herpetology Association.I know they have a website but I don't think it's on Kingsnake.com
