Not really a funny story. Just a little odd. This morning i was feeding my to Berber Skinks (Eumeces Schneideri) i put a few crickets in when they were on the surface as i usually do, but with an unexpected reaction. The male was fine, chased a couple round as he does, then went for a bask before going to sleep later on in the day, but the female decided to be a little different. She went nuts! she was pounding around the viv like mad, kncoking stuff out of the way and running through plants. There is a collection of plastic plants hanging from the roof, and it makes for a great hiding place when on the ground. The female decided it would also make a great climbing frame! she flew up it with ease, sitting in the tree for a good 10 seconds (not bad considering how hyper she was) before jumping (!) out of the tree thing. she's done this about 3 times now! i've not known Berbers to be good climbers, in fact i've heard they're pretty bad at it, but she looks to be an exception!
