lots of the savannah moniters that pet stores sell get stunted in growth. i remember i went to a pet store about 4 years ago they had a small savannah moniter with burns from its hot rock and small pieces of skin hanging off. i visited the same pet store just recently and they had the same savannah moniter in the same cage at the same size. they feed it a small mouse every week and its always trying to fit its body onto its tiny cracked hot rock
