In my opinion, these people should respect your hobbys and intrests, same as you would to them. If they cant at least keep quiet about it, even if they still dont agree with you, i dont really think they are worth your time. some people are against herps, and always will be. i have lizards and snakes and rats and mice and the whole shabang. most of my relatives hate snakes and will kill one if they see one in a field or what have you, but they keep quiet about my pets and feeder animals. i know they dont like them, and once in awhile they do voice their opinions, but they respect my thoughts as well. your college friends should too.
