About 10 to 12 years ago My Friend who worked at the work release center in Fort Myers Florida heard a bunch of comotion going on in the yard, when he went out to see,he discoverd a group of inmates surrounding a large black snake,he made them get away from the snake as they were going to kill it,he found a box and put it in the box and brought it home, when he gave me the box i was amazed at the beauty of this snake, for i had never seen a wild one,and one that was so large,i only had seen a smaller one at a nature center,at the time i had no idea of the laws at keeping indigos,i kept it in a 55 gallon tank over night thinking of a secluded place near water that i could release it at.I release him the next day far from any roads and people and close enough to a large slough in the woods,he was awesome and for a wild snake very docile, only hissed when first picking him up,he did get one free meal , a nice big juicy rat
