Ive always been a Colubrid guy(cornsnakes, kingsnakes, milksnakes, I love them!)But I began to experiment in other snakes, mainly a ball python named Anubis. I bought him and took it home, waited a week, and attepted the first feed! Since I own colubrids I am used to feeding them prekilled mice. I got a pinkie rat and tried and tried to feed it to Anubis. No luck....the next day I get a live mouse and he immediantly bites, coils around it, begans to swallow it. I could barely contain my excitement! So I began to peer into the cage and watch him gulp it down. I guess he didnt like what I was doing. Halfway swallowed he spat it out and retreated to his burrow...... A wasted mouse, a disturbed owner, and a hungry snake all in one day...
