rat terrier- rat story

Here's my dog story:
I keep a couple of Iowa rat terriers here in Florida, 'cause I like them and they kill loose rats in my rat building when they escape. Well, years ago when I lived in the city, i kept my rat setup in a shed in the back yard. I hired a high school girl to take care of everything while I left for three days. Upon return, my backyard was littered with over a hundred dead rats. It seems she left the big grow out cage open, and my dog killed everyone as they escaped. The next day, the 90 year old neighbor guy said that the dog would wait 20-30 feet away from the shed and when a rat would run out , he would run them down. Apparently he sat and watched it all day for entertainment rather than walking over and shutting the cage door. The high school girl cried when i told her(nicely).
