Terrific story! For awhile I lived in a very rural area of Tennessee. Some of my neighbors' favorite past time was catching and killing snakes, then "squeezing them out" to see what they had eaten. Educate? It was a lost cause. I was only a Yankee who didn't understand anything woods related. Needless to say, I waited until we moved "back to civilization" to rekindle my captive herp passion. I had this nightmare of coming home one day to find my neighbors in my living room filleting my precious babies for ha-ha's. Failure to knock before entering someone's home was also accepted practice, and locking one's door while at home was considered bad manners. Go figure. . .
