When I was in college I lived in Florida and my best friend was my iguana, Romeo. Romeo was a baby at this time, and was only about a foot and a half from his nose to the tip of his tail.
One day I came home from class, and walked into his room with a piece of the apple I was eating for him. Usually he would perk right up and look at me anxiously as if to say "ok, mom, what treat do you have for me now? " but today he was sitting very still and staring intently at the side of his cage. I waked around to the side of the aquarium, and to my surprise found a rather large anole stuck to the side of the tank staring at Romeo!
Well, they seemed pretty interested in each other, so I left the anole alone to roam around my apartment and fend for itself, which it did thanks to a screened in porch with lousy screens...
Every day though, the anole would spend about an hour on Romeos tank, and they would just stare...
