Snake on the lam

Well a couple weeks ago I had my inlaws over for dinner and a movie. As I went to go put the remainder of the pizza away, there sitting on my counter is my 8month old miami corn Grover. I didn't even know the little guy had escaped and the counter is higher than my waist, I'm 5'4", and there is no visible way a less than 2' snake could have made it up there!! Interestingly enough the spot he was sitting in was were I usually feed him and when I approached he simply looked at me as if to say "OK mom where's dinner?". It also happened to be Sunday wich is there feeding day. Who says snakes aren't smart!

I've also taken care of his escape hatch :-) As funny as it was I don't want a repeat and am glad I found him and my phobic sister in law didn't.
