: I was hunting 2050 in S.Texas(w/yet another rookie). : We had stopped to pick up a 4 foot Desert Kingsnake. : As we were stopped on the side of the road I was trying to : bag the animal when a sheriifs vehicle races up to us locks : it up and 2 deputys fly out. The first deputy is a woman : and she comes up to me, oblivious to the fact that I have : a 4 foot snake in my hands. "What are you guys doing out here : at this time of nite?" she asks... "snake collecting" : I reply..."can I see some ID?" .... I don't have a free hand : so instinctively I thrust the desert king into her hands and say : "here hold this..." Its at this point she realizes that : I have just put a large snake in her hands...."Never mind" : says the deputy, handing me my snake back.... : Never had her stop me again....
