True story - 20 years ago was looking for water snakes in a canal in south florida that was near the turnpike. This place was close to the house but no one never visited the area as it was eaten up with plant life. Well the plant life was very thick and I saw a marsh rabbit even cross the canal over the growth. I bent down to wash my hands and the growth was so thick that I could not get to the water so I pulled the reed away and saw the bulk of a hugh snake. After getting my breath, I held on for the ride of a life time. We got him, a 9 foot red tail boa. He even threw up a rabbit when we got him home. We tried to tame him, to no avail. We cleaned him of ticks and other diseases and let him go. Hope he is still out there. If you see him, leave him alone. He bites and has been through it all.
