snake killing

I give lectures to the general public about snakes.
Sometimes someone comes to the lecture just because they want to know the best way to kill a snake.One man was telling me how he killed a large fat black snake in his yard by chopping it to pieces with a hoe.I was so angry I told him that he should never do that because each piece would grow into a full snake and each snake would be seeking revenge.So much for dispelling myths about snakes.
