: ANyone have suggestions for finding a 5 foot ball python that is loose in the house? Only thing I can think of is lowering the house temp except for one warm spot to attract him. Other suggestions would really be appreciated asap... before the cats find him.

I wouldn't recomend lowering the temp. as he would become less active. You might try raising the temp. to the 90's to get him moving.I once lost a 4 ft boa for 3 months during the winter in my bedroom. I found him at the bottom of my arrow quiver. Which was hanging right above his tank.HE was pretty thirsty but in good health.
